The story I’m about to tell you is written in Ukraine by a psychologist who works with children daily. Our little pets, cats, help young children restore their psyche. Big uncles sort things out among themselves, but it’s the children who suffer most. In the coming days, I’ll try to post children’s drawings for your review, depicting kittens.

Cats, ever thought about who they are? Yes, indeed, they are our four-legged friends who rescue us not only from countless anxieties. They allow us to pet them and thereby calm us down. This was taught to me by a red-haired five-year-old boy named Yulik. He always carried his cat, whose name was Gladiolus, on his back. He’d tuck him under the collar of his shirt and carry him like that. He says he’s protecting him, guarding him from “imps and all sorts of unclean things.” I, too, can’t go a day without stroking my ginger Persian cat. She’s the most calming presence and rescues me from anxieties. And once, she truly saved the day, comforting and aiding my youngest son after a complicated surgery. He called her Garfield, although she responds just as well to the name “Eddie.

Once the war is over, I’ll definitely erect a monument to her. Even if you read her name backwards, Asya, it resonates with the peaceful affirming city of Yassy. And here she is, purring away, demanding that I stroke her and telling me in her feline language, “In any case, all wars end in peace…”. It’s no coincidence that a bronze monument to a Persian cat of the same breed as mine was installed right next to the historical “Golden Gates,” practically at the foot of the monument to the Great peacemaker Prince Yaroslav the Wise. In 1026, in the town of Gorodok near Kiev, he concluded a peace agreement “between the right bank of the Dnieper and the left bank,” effectively ending the years-long fratricidal war that erupted immediately after the death of Prince Vladimir in 1015.

It’s interesting that this peaceful treaty was signed right where my ginger cat lives. Who knows, maybe by 2026, all the sorrow unfolding on the fertile Ukrainian land will come to an end?

They say cats are such peacemakers that they’ve long invented their own Esperanto. Their words truly don’t require special translators; everyone understands them without words. “In essence, it doesn’t matter who or

“Every cat’s eyes glow in infinity, that’s why their gaze is endless…”

Perhaps it was by observing a cat’s tail that people came up with their first graphic symbols and learned to write. Don’t believe it? Take a close look at all the ancient alphabets – Glagolitic, Armenian, Georgian. Yes, they’re all just “curves and exclamation marks of a cat’s tail!” After all, humans don’t have tails or whiskers – antennas. That’s why throughout life, humans learn “the science of Love,” not war, right? what came up with it, what’s.Cats are warriors,” teaching humans true nobility. Before engaging in a real battle, they diligently prepare with their gaze and battle songs. Whoever is weaker retreats immediately. Humans, in this regard, have much to learn. Unlike cats, men don’t grow long whisker-antennas or tails; they only grow beards. And as we know, beards don’t give wisdom to humans. And come to think of it, I don’t recall any bearded cats. There are bats, but no flying cats? Although there are flying dogs and foxes. Seems like even among the “four-legged” on Earth, there’s plenty to do. And they also have healing powers. No wonder the great healer of the distant past, Asclepius, prescribed treatment involving cats. Could it be that the entire cult of cat worship flourished and was preached in ancient Egypt during the time of the pharaohs for this reason? If you’re really in pain, they skillfully know how to take that pain upon themselves. How do they do it? Well, it’s quite simple; they come and lie down next to or directly on the painful area, and that’s it. Relief for the sufferer comes very quickly; it truly becomes easier.

Cats are very playful and at the same time, they’re very good listeners and hearers, something we, as children, don’t always excel at and need to learn for a long time. And on top of that, cats have good memories. That’s why you should never upset a cat. They’ll definitely remember that offense, and it will come back to you twofold!

It’s interesting that there are no bearded cats in the world. All cats are mustachioed, and these mustaches act like peculiar antennas. “Perhaps, with the help of these antennas, they can foresee the future?” Yulik suggested… When they cross our path. And this happens often, especially when we’re in a hurry and running late for work; they’re just trying to warn us.

Do cats or cats want to travel the world? Owners may think so, believing that it’s essential for their cat to see and explore the world. But that’s not quite the case. And if they have to return, they almost always find their way back home unerringly. That’s how their “inner compass” works. And cats aren’t just compasses; they’re also like big, internal, and very accurate clocks. Like Swiss ones. So, if you have a cat, you don’t necessarily need to set an alarm every day—they simply won’t let you oversleep, especially when they’re used to being fed in the mornings!

Those who truly love cats with all their hearts live long lives. I know so many grandmothers who have long surpassed the age of 90, all because they selflessly feed their beloved pets. And they may have five, ten, or even more..

Teach us to love in the most literal sense! They teach us to be caring and tender towards each other. And that’s no small matter. I believe if young couples took a cue from such “cat relationships,” we wouldn’t have so many divorces and unhappy families. Moreover, a cat mother will never abandon her kitten, even if it’s sick! “Remember how the cat brought her sick kitten to the playground where the nursery group was every day?” Yulik began his story. “She believed that people would surely help him. And as a result, it happened. Are you trying to say that she (the cat) doesn’t understand that a little kitten is just like a child and just as small, albeit a little different…?

The continuation tomorrow.

Chuka story

Once upon a time, there lived a beautiful kitten named Chuka. His soft fur was as thick as the densest fur, and his eyes sparkled like the brightest stars in the sky. Leo was a kind and affectionate kitten who loved to play and explore the world around him.

One day, as Chuka was wandering around his neighborhood, he heard faint crying sounds. He followed the sounds and discovered a little puppy who had gotten lost and couldn’t find his way home.

Chuka gently approached the puppy and said, “Don’t be afraid, little one, I’ll help you find your way home.” He guided the puppy through the woods and along narrow paths until they reached the puppy’s home. The puppy’s mom was so glad to see him and thanked Leo for his help.

Since then, Chuka and the puppy became best friends. They played together every day and explored the world around them. Leo taught the puppy to be brave and friendly, and the puppy taught Leo to be patient and caring.

The story of Chuka the kitten and his puppy friend reminds us that true friendship and compassion can overcome any obstacles and make the world brighter and better for all its inhabitants.

Cats warriors?

“Cats – warriors” teach people true nobility. Before engaging in a real battle, they diligently prepare with their gaze and battle songs. Whoever is weaker will retreat immediately. In this regard, humans have much to learn. Unlike cats, men don’t grow long whiskers or tails, only beards. And as we know, beards don’t grant wisdom to humans. Besides, I can’t recall any bearded cats. There are bats, but no flying cats? Although there are flying dogs and foxes. Apparently, even among “four-legged” creatures, there’s plenty to do on Earth.

Have you heard the story of the first Polish king, Popiel, whose wealth was eaten by mice? Not the king himself, of course, but all his riches? And what’s the reason? He quarreled with the cats, had a falling out. That’s how all the king’s wealth, as they say, “went to the wind.”

Ancestors of Europeans were much wiser – they kept a cat in every home. This was even reflected in the ceramic plasticity of the grain storage vessel’s shape. Such grain containers, shaped like cats and over 5000 years old, have been found by archaeologists in settlements of the Trypillian culture near Uman.

Cats don’t play – they live real life – here and now. Without expecting any bonuses, just like that. Perhaps that’s why it often seems they are much wiser than humans themselves?

They write and sing their “March serenades” not to gain fame or earn a little money, but simply to please their chosen lady of the heart. They really have something to teach us about Love and the art of courtship.

And they also have healing abilities. No wonder the great healer of ancient times, Asclepius, prescribed treatment involving cats. Could it be that the entire cult of worshiping cats developed and was preached in ancient Egypt during the time of the pharaohs for this reason? If something truly ails you, they skillfully know how to take that pain upon themselves. How do they do it? Well, it’s very simple – they come and lie down next to or directly on the painful area, and that’s it. Pain relief for the sufferer comes very soon, and it truly becomes easier.

Cats, cats, cats. The story I’m about to tell started quite simply, but over time, it became very, very serious. During the times of great discovery, when people were restricted from socializing with each other, a big change happened to me. In my family, when I was a child living with my parents, there were always pets around, and it was sort of the norm. As I grew older and due to work involving frequent travel, having a pet became impractical. Years went by, life went on as usual, just like for many of us. Joyful days, stresses, the arrival of our own children, the cares of daily problems, it all blended together in the theater of life. And then came the year 2020.
My son had been asking me for a long time to get a kitten or a puppy, and I had been reluctant. In early 2020, after much deliberation, we acquired a beautiful kitten. My son was jumping with joy. The first condition I set for him was the mandatory care and serious attitude towards his pet. Getting a pet is a big responsibility towards it. You can’t just get a little creature, play with it, and then forget about it like a toy. Agreeing to such changes in our family life, I understood that the responsibility would also fall on me.
Everything was going very well. Interestingly, with the arrival of the kitten, the family atmosphere became calmer and cozier. In a short amount of time, everything began to change for the better. My son started studying better, became more organized and calm. The kitten grew, we didn’t deny him anything, and he became a true master of the house. Our family genuinely considered him a member of the family. I think it’s wonderful.
It wasn’t without its adventures. One day, coming home late from work when it was already dark outside, I allowed our pet to go for a walk in the garden… Yes, I didn’t mention that we lived in a private house on the outskirts of London. We had a small garden where our pet could enjoy the fresh air. There are many foxes in this city, and they are nocturnal animals. So, I opened the garden door, let out Chuka, that’s what we named our beloved pet, and suddenly there was a piercing scream from our kitten in the garden. I completely forgot about the foxes. I rushed outside, and what do I see? Chuka is looking at me with wide eyes, and lying nearby is his collar – it all ended with a little stress.
So, after much contemplation, I’ve decided to share with you, my dear readers, my story. Day by day, I will narrate to you how the fate of our beloved pet unfolded. The most important thing in this story is that our little family member became the central character in the unfolding events. I would say that from the day Chucka entered our home, everything began to change in a certain direction. It’s a true detective story that I will unfold for you.
